What sets Hamilton Plant Hire apart from others, especially the larger, national companies is our ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively. Larger companies tend to be quite bureaucratic, and the decision making process can therefore take a long time. It can be difficult to speak to someone with the authority to make decisions quickly and this can be very time consuming and frustrating.
Hamilton Plant Hire is a family run company, and the company directors will have direct involvement on your account on a day to day basis.
All our plant operators are fully trained and qualified in the equipment they are operating. Furthermore we select only operators who have substantial field experience to work on customers’ sites. We do not expect you to pay for an inexperienced operator even though he may hold the correct qualifications. You need the machinery working to its maximum potential from the start, and that is what we will offer - highly skilled, experienced, qualified operators.
Despite this, we as a company take staff training seriously and acknowledge that newly qualified operators need to be given a chance to improve their skills. To that end we do employ younger or less experienced staff to train on under supervision or on less demanding jobs until their skills have developed. There is a skills shortage in our industry which is only set to get worse, and this will have serious long term consequences if we don’t let people learn. The most obvious consequence will of course be a huge increase in the cost of labour which will ultimately have to be passed on to customers.
All our plant delivery drivers are fully trained and qualified with Driver CPC. They are also trained and qualified in Driving, Loading and Securing Plant.
Our team of full time service engineers operate both in our fully equipped workshops and out on the road. We believe in training our staff and regularly set on fitters at apprentice level, which we then send on 4 year training courses whilst gaining practical experience working with older fully experienced colleagues. The result is a passing on of decades of experience, along with formal training and qualifications being attained to a minimum NVQ level 3.
In the event of a breakdown on site we have the personnel to get there fast and the knowledge and experience to get you up and running with the minimum of down time. They are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
